Alan has worked in Financial Services for thirty years. For the last ten years he has been, assisting Financial Institutions implement change. He has an ability to effectively translate business strategy and implement the desired outcome acting as the glue between the business and operations.
His work has involved the delivery of business change by setting-up new ventures, new product development and process & organisation re-design.
He translates high level objectives into action. One of his core skills is to build mixed teams of client and external talent who will deliver against realistic plans in the short and long-term.
Alan has held senior roles at Citibank, IBM and in two niche management consultancies. He started his career many years ago in advertising, working for Saatchi & Saatchi and therefore can bring to any project or programme multiple industry skills.
Over the past ten years he has worked with a variety of clients including Visa, Fortis, ABN AMRO and Lloyds Banking Group. He has addressed a variety of initiatives with roles such as Transformation Director, Operations Divestment Programme Manager, Sanctions Project Manager and Commercial Director.
For the last two years he has worked in the executive teams of two new start-ups in the Financial Sector. This has involved raising finance and negotiating commercials and new solutions with business partners and new clients.
He has an MBA from London Business School, awarded after completion of the full-time two year course. He also holds an honours degree in Psychology from Newcastle University.
