Bio: Paula is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and has over 15 years experience in the HR field.
For a financial services consultancy Paula has researched and installed a new HR system, worked on contracts, policies and procedures,implemented a flexible benefits system, been involved in Recruitment, training and development and employment relations issues.
As Human Resources Manager and then Recruitment Manager at Misys, a FTSE 100 company, specialising in Banking Software systems, Paula was initially responsible for 300+ staff based in the UK, liaising with Managers on all HR issues, including promotions, salary reviews, employee relations issues. As Recruitment Manager she was responsible for maintaining the Preferred Suppliers list, negotiating rates, ensuring all stages of the Recruitment process were followed, from the Staff Requisition forms, working with Managers to come up with a Job Description, sourcing CVs, taking part in interviews, running aptitude and personality profiling tests, through to Job Offers and new Employee Induction programmes.
As Human Resources Consultant at Telia, a Swedish telecommunications company, Paula was responsible for all areas of HR for various departments including Finance, IT , HR, and Billing. As well as her day to day generalist duties Paula also completed projects to sort out pension issues, implemented training programmes and researched policies and procedures.
As Human Resources Manager at Winter Partners (later MTi) Paula was part of the Senior Management Team involved with all aspects of running the company and with the whole range of Human Resources. The company went into Administration and she was involved in planning to downsize the company ready for sale. Alongside the Administrators, BDO Stoy Hayward, Paula was involved in making a third of the staff redundant.
At these and various other companies Paula has been involved in Marketing , Business Development, IT Pilot Projects, Credit Control,Invoicing, Office Relocation, Rebranding, Events Management and General Administration.
